Mutuum Finance is expanding its services with a planned overcollateralized stablecoin, pegged to the U.S. dollar. Users can mint this stablecoin by locking supported collateral. The stablecoin is minted on demand, and all interest paid by stablecoin borrowers is directed into the protocol treasury. This treasury funds a buy-and-distribute mechanism, which increases the volume of MUTM purchased from the open market and redistributed to stakers over time. As stablecoin adoption grows, so does the revenue flowing into this cycle, significantly expanding the protocol's total addressable market.
The team has outlined plans for Layer 2 integration and multi-chain expansion. These developments aim to reduce friction for new users and extend Mutuum's reach beyond the Ethereum ecosystem. Lower transaction costs on L2 networks enhance accessibility for smaller depositors and borrowers, broadening the user base and increasing overall platform activity. Each new chain represents a new pool of potential users contributing to protocol revenue and the MUTM buyback cycle.
Mutuum's V1 protocol is live on Sepolia testnet with over $290 million in testnet liquidity. The protocol supports ETH, USDT, LINK, and WBTC markets. Safe-Mode Borrow Presets are available, and position alerts are in development. Core components, including smart contracts, the DApp frontend, and backend infrastructure, are complete and approaching mainnet launch.

An independent audit of the V1 protocol was completed by Halborn Security, and CertiK scored the MUTM token contract at 90/100. These assessments confirm the security of the stablecoin and multi-chain expansion plans.
MUTM is in Phase 7 at $0.04, with over $20.8 million raised and more than 19,000 holders. The confirmed launch price is $0.06, providing current buyers a 50% discount to the listing price before any open-market activity. Over 850 million presale tokens have been sold, and the remaining allocation is narrowing. Tokens are accessible via card purchase.
