However, significant challenges remain. The clandestine nature of the trade, coupled with the anonymity provided by the dark web, complicates enforcement efforts. Moreover, the socio-economic disparities that drive individuals to sell their organs are deeply entrenched and require comprehensive socio-economic policies to address.

The notion of a thriving organ trade on the dark web is both a hoax and a horror. On one hand, many listings on the dark web are indeed scams, capitalizing on the desperation of individuals in need of a transplant. On the other hand, the horror of organ trafficking is a genuine issue, albeit more prevalent in traditional black markets than online platforms.

While the dark web may not be the primary venue for organ trafficking, its potential as a tool for facilitating illegal trade cannot be entirely dismissed.
