Documentary Release: "Shurina's Journey"
A new documentary short film titled "Shurina's Journey" , directed by Cheng Herng Shinn, has been released. The film is part of Al Jazeera’s DigiDocs series and was produced in collaboration with Al Jazeera Witness.
The documentary follows 15-year-old Shurina, who is cast as a kamikaze pilot in her school play. Through this role, she embarks on a historical exploration across Japan, visiting World War II memorials. During her journey, she commemorates schoolgirls who lost their lives during the war by hanging paper cranes in their memory.
