Microsoft and NVIDIA are launching the Agentic Launchpad, a programme built to boost AI innovation across the UK and Ireland. The project is meant to help software companies develop new intelligent systems and scale their platforms faster. It falls under Microsoft’s £22 billion investment in UK AI infrastructure and innovation.
The Agentic Launchpad works with both early-stage and scaling software firms building agentic applications or generative AI platforms. The goal is to support ambitious teams ready to lead the next stage of AI growth in the UK. Microsoft’s UK and Ireland CEO Darren Hardman said, “We are passionate about helping to build the agentic AI future and see innovation flourish in the UK.”
The initiative gives startups access to the latest AI technology, one-on-one support from Microsoft and NVIDIA experts. Also, startups are given the chance to promote their work through Microsoft’s global networks.
The companies taking part can also feature in Microsoft communications, helping them gain recognition and attract investors. According to Microsoft, this mix of mentorship together with exposure and funding opportunities makes the Launchpad an “exciting opportunity” for AI-first companies ready to scale their solutions.
What Makes The Programme Different From Past AI Initiatives?
Microsoft said the Agentic Launchpad stands out because of its “world-class support” and direct involvement from both Microsoft and NVIDIA specialists. Participants gain access to technical sessions, credits through Microsoft’s existing programmes, and help from marketing and sales teams to bring their AI ideas to market faster.
Companies selected for the programme can also attend workshops, summits, and networking events such as the Microsoft AI Tour. These gatherings link founders to investors and industry figures who can help accelerate their growth. Microsoft says that this as a chance for startups to “join a select cohort and benefit from peer support” while connecting with professionals across the AI ecosystem.

The collaboration is backed by NVIDIA’s Inception programme, which already supports thousands of startups worldwide. Serge Palaric, NVIDIA’s Vice President for EMEA Hyperscaler and ISV Alliances, said the partnership would give participating UK firms access to NVIDIA’s Deep Learning Institute training and expert network. He explained that using NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure would allow software companies to speed up their AI development and boost system performance.
Microsoft said the Launchpad also helps companies promote their agentic and AI apps directly to customers and stakeholders through dedicated marketing campaigns. This marketplace access is expected to help startups expand faster while giving the UK a stronger presence in the global AI economy.
The programme targets UK-based software development firms that are already building intelligent systems or plan to do so soon. It’s geared towards startups with a clear technical direction but needing stronger access to global markets, advanced computing tools, and expert mentorship.
Microsoft confirmed that selected teams will be able to use Azure, its cloud platform, to build and deploy their systems. This makes it easier for them to test, train and then scale their AI models. Microsoft said the programme will also connect founders with investors and customers who are looking for high-quality agentic AI solutions.
The company said applications are open until 28 November, with chosen startups expected to join the cohort shortly after. Once selected, these businesses will receive mentorship , event invites and credit support to help build products faster and bring them to the market efficiently.
Hardman added that Microsoft’s goal is to strengthen the UK’s position as one of the leading hubs for AI development in Europe. He said, “We are passionate about helping to build the agentic AI future and see innovation flourish in the UK.“
