Ivanti has released critical security updates for its Endpoint Manager (EPM) solution to address four security vulnerabilities. These updates include one critical and three high-severity flaws, which could enable attackers to execute arbitrary code, write files on the server, or bypass security restrictions.
Administrators are advised to apply the patches without delay to mitigate potential risks. There is no current evidence of these vulnerabilities being exploited in the wild.
The vulnerabilities affect Ivanti Endpoint Manager versions 2024 SU4 and earlier. The issues have been resolved in version 2024 SU4 SR1, which is now accessible through the Ivanti License System (ILS).
CVE-2025-10573: A stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability with a critical CVSS score of 9.6. This flaw allows remote, unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript within an administrator's session. CVE-2025-13659: Involves improper control of dynamically managed code resources, allowing unauthenticated attackers to write arbitrary files on the server, potentially leading to remote code execution. CVE-2025-13661: A path traversal vulnerability, allowing authenticated attackers to write files outside intended directories. CVE-2025-13662: Relates to improper cryptographic signature verification, allowing arbitrary code execution.

Ivanti has provided specific mitigations for environments where immediate patching might be delayed. Notably, the Endpoint Manager is not intended for internet-facing use, which can significantly reduce the risk of the critical XSS vulnerability.

The identification of these vulnerabilities was credited to multiple security researchers. Ryan Emmons from Rapid7 identified the critical XSS flaw. Piotr Bazydlo of watchTowr was responsible for discovering the file writing vulnerability. Researchers from the Trend Zero Day Initiative identified the remaining path traversal and signature verification issues.
There are currently no known indicators of compromise (IoCs), and applying the vendor-supplied patch is recommended as the primary defense.
