On Fri, Feb 24, 2026, Broadcom released security advisory VMSA-2026-0001, revealing three vulnerabilities in VMware Aria Operations, which include risks such as remote code execution. Organizations are advised to prioritize patching these vulnerabilities to prevent potential exploitation.
VMware Aria Operations, integral to VMware Cloud Foundation, Telco Cloud Platform, and Telco Cloud Infrastructure, is affected by the following vulnerabilities:
CVE-2026-22719: Command injection vulnerability with a CVSS score of 8.1, allowing unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary commands during support-assisted migrations. CVE-2026-22720: Stored cross-site scripting (XSS) with a CVSS score of 8.0, enabling privileged users to inject scripts through custom benchmarks. CVE-2026-22721: Privilege escalation with a CVSS score of 6.2, allowing vCenter users to escalate to admin rights within Aria Operations.
The vulnerabilities impact VMware Aria Operations 8.x and earlier versions, as well as associated bundles in Cloud Foundation 9.x/5.x/4.x, Telco Cloud Platform 5.x/4.x, and Telco Cloud Infrastructure 3.x/2.x. A workaround is available for CVE-2026-22719 via KB430349, but no workarounds exist for the other vulnerabilities, emphasizing the need for prompt updates. Fixes are confirmed in releases such as Aria Operations 8.18.6 and Cloud Foundation 9.0.2.0.
