Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced plans to meet US President Donald Trump in Washington, DC, on Friday to discuss air defense and long-range capabilities. The discussions may include the potential provision of long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, which have a range of 2,500 km (1,550 miles). Zelenskyy met with the European Union’s foreign affairs chief, Kaja Kallas, in Kyiv. They discussed increasing pressure on Moscow through new sanctions and the use of Russian frozen assets to fund reparations for Ukraine. Additionally, Ukraine's path to EU membership was addressed. Kaja Kallas confirmed the allocation of 10 million euros ($11.5 million) to establish a special tribunal to prosecute Russia’s leadership for the crime of aggression, often referred to as the “mother of all crimes” in international criminal law.
