The United States Department of Justice has released additional Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) documents. These documents include interviews with a woman who alleges she was sexually assaulted by former President Donald Trump as a teenager, after being introduced to him by Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender.
The documents were not included in previous releases mandated by Congress related to Epstein due to a classification error, where they were mistakenly marked as "duplicative."
The documents describe multiple 2019 interviews conducted by the FBI with the woman. She alleges that she was assaulted by both Epstein and Trump between the ages of 13 and 15. In one of these interviews, the woman stated that Epstein took her to either New York or New Jersey and introduced her to Trump, where an alleged assault occurred.
She also reported receiving threatening calls over the years, which she believed were related to Epstein.

According to the records, the FBI ceased interviews with the woman in 2019. During the final interview in October 2019, she was asked if she would provide more information about Trump. She questioned the purpose of providing further information, citing concerns about the potential ineffectiveness of such actions at that point in her life.
The White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, described the woman's claims as "completely baseless accusations, backed by zero credible evidence." Former President Trump has denied any wrongdoing related to the allegations.
The Justice Department had previously stated that some of the released documents contained "untrue and sensationalist claims" against Trump.
Recent geopolitical events, specifically the conflict involving the United States and Iran, have shifted public attention away from the disclosures related to Epstein. A Republican Congressman, Thomas Massie, highlighted that international conflicts do not negate the importance of addressing the Epstein files.
Shaiel Ben-Ephraim, an analyst with Atlas Global Strategies, noted a significant decrease in public interest in the Epstein files since the onset of the conflict.
