Additionally, negotiations may address China's response to U.S. tariffs, such as the cessation of soybean purchases, a significant U.S. export to China.

China has been active in hosting Western leaders, including Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, who announced new trade agreements during his visit. Furthermore, China is expanding its global export of electric vehicles, supported by investments in new technologies and renewable energy.

The upcoming visit will also touch on other aspects of U.S.-China relations, including the U.S. arms sales to Taiwan, which remain a point of contention for China.
