During a speech at May Day Stadium in Pyongyang on Thursday, Kim highlighted the achievements of the Workers’ Party of Korea over its 80-year history, describing the nation's progress as a result of the people's wisdom and strength, according to the KCNA state news agency.
Kim stated, “Today, we stand before the world as a mighty people with no obstacles we cannot overcome and no great achievement we cannot accomplish.”
Despite economic challenges, North Korea continues to develop its nuclear capabilities. Kim's recent visit to Beijing marked his presence at China's 80th-anniversary celebrations of its World War II victory, alongside Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
