SoftBank is spearheading two of the new data center projects in collaboration with OpenAI. These sites are expected to reach 1.5 gigawatts within 18 months. The second site is in Milam County, Texas, where SoftBank’s energy division, SB Energy, is developing energy infrastructure for rapid deployment and operation of high-power AI systems.
