Effective Fri, Aug 4, 2023, creators establishing a paid membership page on Patreon will incur a 10 percent fee on their earnings under the platform's new standard plan. Previously, Patreon offered Pro and Premium plans with fees of 8 percent and 12 percent, respectively. These are now consolidated into a single option. This fee adjustment affects only creators launching a new page; existing users with the Pro rate secured by Aug 4 will retain their current rate.
Creators previously under the Premium (12 percent) plan will transition to a custom "Pro + merch" plan with an 11 percent fee. If the merchandise option is removed, the fee will decrease to 8 percent.
Previously, Patreon offered Pro and Premium plans with fees of 8 percent and 12 percent, respectively.
Patreon is increasing the amount of complimentary storage for creators utilizing Patreon Video. The platform will now offer 100 hours of video storage per month for free, an increase from the previous lifetime limit of 100 hours. This adjustment aligns with Patreon's recent introduction of new tools, including a built-in livestreaming feature , Live Video. Testing of Live Video commenced this spring with selected creators, with broader availability planned for the summer.
