This inquiry is focused on activities within the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA), which manages defense purchases for the organization's 32 member states.
Several current and former NATO employees are under investigation for allegedly accepting bribes between 2021 and 2025. The allegations involve the exchange of confidential information with defense firms in return for financial compensation.
In May, at least three individuals were arrested in connection with the alleged corruption at the NSPA, based in Luxembourg. This operation, named "Clean Hands," involved collaboration with various agencies, including the NSPA, the FBI, and the European judicial agency. The investigations are still in progress.
