Blockchain company Punkvism has launched its independent mainnet, "PunkChain," aiming to establish itself as a leading Web3 infrastructure platform in Korea. The company revealed PunkChain’s technical architecture, development roadmap, and real-world asset (RWA)-based ecosystem strategy.

PunkChain is designed to function as an infrastructure bridge between real-world assets and the digital economy. The network integrates RWA-linked projects, NFTs, tokens, and reward systems into a unified ecosystem. It is structured around two core components: the RWA Exchange and the RWA Public Chain, facilitating seamless issuance, trading, settlement, and verification within a single network.

The network initially employs a Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus mechanism to ensure decentralization and security. It will transition to Proof-of-Stake (PoS) once a sufficient number of participants and nodes are established. This transition will be transparent, with all metrics, conversion criteria, and reward structures publicly disclosed.

PunkChain targets an average block time under ten seconds and a transaction speed of 15,000–20,000 TPS, with gas fees similar to Solana. This setup ensures cost-effective and scalable operations for RWA projects and transactions linked to real assets.

PunkChain offers full Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatibility, supporting standard token protocols such as ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155. Developers can utilize a REST API gateway for integration, with cross-chain bridge functionality planned for phased implementation. This allows Ethereum-based DApps to onboard without complex migration processes.

In terms of security, PunkChain employs a Secure Node Architecture to minimize DDoS vulnerabilities, supported by a Byzantine Fault Tolerance (BFT)-based mechanism. This ensures stability even under partial node failures. All data related to issuance, distribution, and settlement will be recorded on-chain for auditability, while sensitive information is secured through hash-based off-chain anchoring.

PunkChain will serve as the technical backbone for Punkvism’s expanding RWA projects, including the MiniRoom NFT Project and other initiatives. These projects will be integrated into a single economic network under PunkChain, advancing Punkvism’s vision of connecting blockchain with the real economy.

Punkvism plans to announce the testnet schedule, PoW-to-PoS transition criteria, initial DApp onboarding lineup, and a beta version of its RWA exchange in the coming months.
