The company currently serves nearly 7 million users with its fixed-wireless 5G Home Internet and has an additional million on a waiting list. The fibre service aims to provide improved upload capacity for activities such as online gaming, live streaming, and creative work.
Originally piloted in 2021, T-Mobile's fibre service aligns with its commitment to providing gigabit speeds. The company offers a five-year price guarantee without additional charges for equipment rental, installation, or yearly contracts.
Three standard tiers will be available starting Thu, Jun 5, 2024:
Fibre 500: Up to 500 Mbps for $60 with autopay and a T-Mobile voice line, or $75 with autopay alone. Fibre 1 Gig: $75 with a voice line or $90 with autopay. Includes a mesh kit for consistent speeds throughout the home. Fibre 2 Gig: $90 with a voice line or $105 with autopay, targeting gamers, content creators, and households with multiple smart devices.

A special Founders Club plan offers the Fibre 2 Gig service for $70 in select areas, with this rate secured for 10 years.
T-Mobile plans to expand its fibre network to cover 12 million to 15 million homes by 2030. This expansion depends on the completion of deals with Lumos and Metronet, which specialize in regional fibre infrastructure. By utilizing existing infrastructure, T-Mobile aims to reduce construction time and provide service to areas with limited gigabit access.
The fibre rollout allows T-Mobile to compete with AT&T, Verizon, and Frontier, who have invested heavily in gigabit projects. Areas with strong demand for T-Mobile's 5G Home Internet will be prioritized in the fibre buildout.
Orders open nationwide on Thu, Jun 5, 2024, via the fibre.t-mobile.com portal or at any T-Mobile store. A $5 discount is available for autopay using a debit card or bank account.
All plans include unlimited data and a Wi-Fi 6 router or mesh kit at no extra charge. Customers can relocate with the service or cancel without exit fees, appealing to renters. Future cross-discounts for mobile services may be offered, consolidating phone and broadband services under T-Mobile.
