The third week of March 2026 marks a significant shift in capital movements within the decentralized sector. While established market leaders experience stable momentum, a surge of interest is directed at a specific segment of the Ethereum network. This trend highlights a market preference for technical innovations and verified utility, signaling a transition from conceptual plans to active testing.
Mutuum Finance: Next-Generation Lending
Mutuum Finance is developing a platform for non-custodial borrowing and lending, aiming to streamline traditional processes through automation. It is establishing a Peer-to-Contract market for automated fund pools and a Peer-to-Peer marketplace for customized agreements.
The project is distributing its native token, MUTM, through a phased approach to ensure broad access. Currently, in its seventh phase, the token is priced at $0.04, with a total supply capped at 4 billion. Of this, 45.5% is reserved for the early community, with over $20.8 million raised from more than 19,200 holders. Upon market release, the token is expected to reach $0.06.

The V1 protocol has been activated on the testnet, managing over $230 million in simulated volume. The system utilizes mtTokens for interest-bearing receipts, enabling automated APY accruals without manual claims. Debt Tokens track borrowing obligations under a strict Loan to Value ratio, typically set at 75%.
Upcoming updates in 2026 include the launch of a stablecoin minted against interest-bearing mtTokens, allowing users to access funds without liquidating assets. The project also plans to expand to Layer-2 networks to reduce transaction costs and improve confirmation times.
